About Us
Our Mission
Generations Law was established by husband and wife team Michael and Alyssa in 2019 to offer Queenslanders a real alternative in the areas of estate planning and and probate/estate administration law.
Our focus is on delivering service of the highest quality in a way that is convenient and accessible to you and at an affordable price.
Our mission is to ensure that everyone is able to seek assistance from an expert solicitor at the times in their life when they need it the most. To do this we offer home visits and videoconferencing for those who might prefer not to visit our office as well as competitive fixed fee pricing to ensure peace of mind and no nasty surprises.
FAQs
Why Generations Law?
There’s never been more options when it comes to choosing a solicitor. At Generations Law we exist only because of clients like you and we put this fact at the centre of everything we do. We go out of our way to make the process as easy as possible for you at the best price while never compromising on the quality of our services and our professionalism.
You won’t find any suits and ties at Generations Law (unless we have to go to Court). We are a modern law practice offering modern legal solutions for modern people like you leading busy lives. We use technology to put you in the driver’s seat, save time and costs and improve the solicitor-client experience.
How much does it cost?
Our professional fees start at $990 (inclusive of GST) plus disbursements for a standard probate or letters of administration application with one executor/applicant in Queensland. Wherever possible, we seek to provide you with a fixed fee from the outset to avoid any nasty surprises at the end.
Where it is not possible to offer a fixed fee (such as in certain types of litigation) we will provide a detailed fee quote breaking down your matter into various components and providing an estimate for each component. Where it is possible to offer a fixed fee for an individual component of an engagement, we will.
In either case, as part of our mission of eliminating excuses, we are focused on keeping costs to an absolute minimum, providing price certainty wherever possible and keeping you informed every step of the way
How does it work?
Start by getting in touch. Send us an email, fill out a contact form or give us a call, whichever suits you. Once we have enough information about you and the services you require we’ll prepare a quote and client agreement. Once this is accepted by you we’ll get started. What happens after that depends on the service you need. For probate and letters of administration applications, the first step is usually to arrange for your notice of intention to apply for a grant to be published.
