About Us

Our Mission

Generations Law was established by husband and wife team Michael and Alyssa in 2019 to offer Queenslanders a real alternative in the areas of estate planning and and probate/estate administration law.

Our focus is on delivering service of the highest quality in a way that is convenient and accessible to you and at an affordable price.

Our mission is to ensure that everyone is able to seek assistance from an expert solicitor at the times in their life when they need it the most. To do this we offer home visits and videoconferencing for those who might prefer not to visit our office as well as competitive fixed fee pricing to ensure peace of mind and no nasty surprises.

Why Generations Law?

There’s never been more options when it comes to choosing a solicitor. At Generations Law we exist only because of clients like you and we put this fact at the centre of everything we do. We go out of our way to make the process as easy as possible for you at the best price while never compromising on the quality of our services and our professionalism.

You won’t find any suits and ties at Generations Law (unless we have to go to Court). We are a modern law practice offering modern legal solutions for modern people like you leading busy lives. From our client portal to videoconferencing to online instruction questionnaires, wherever possible we use technology to put you in the driver’s seat, save time and costs and improve the solicitor-client experience.

How much does it cost?

The cost will depend on the service you need. For standard services such as wills, powers of attorney, estate plans and family trusts, once we have a better idea of your individual circumstances we’ll be able to provide you with a fixed fee quote for the work. This is all you will pay regardless of how much time the work takes us.

Where it is not possible to offer a fixed fee (such as in certain types of litigation) we will provide a detailed fee quote breaking down your matter into various components and providing an estimate for each component. Where it is possible to offer a fixed fee for an individual component, we will.

In either case, as part of our mission of eliminating excuses, we are focused on keeping costs to an absolute minimum, providing price certainty wherever possible and keeping you informed every step of the way

How does it work?

Start by getting in touch. Give us a call, send us an email or fill out a contact form, whichever suits you. Once we have enough information about you and the services you require we’ll prepare a quote and client agreement. Once this is accepted by you we’ll arrange for an in depth questionnaire to be completed. We’ll then have a quick meeting (by telephone or video conference or, if necessary, in person) and then get started. What happens after that depends on the service you need. If you are after a will, power of attorney or other legal document, we’ll get drafts to you for your review as soon as possible.
